- Have you ever wondered about how shoes were made, and the processes involved?

- Have you ever thought of designing your own shoes and seeing them realized?

- Have you ever dreamed of visiting Italy and experiencing its unique culture first-hand?

If so, this is “the” excursion for you.

If so, join me for an adventure you won’t forget. I am shoemaker Ron Donovan and I am the founder of both, THESHOEMAKERSSTUDIO and RONDONOVAN Footwear & Accessories. For years, I have been splitting my time between New York City and Italy, where I produce my collections. Over this time, I have fallen absolutely in love with Le Marche’. It is renowned for its long history of footwear and accessory making and is one of Italy's most beautiful regions.

OVERVIEW:

During this eight (8) day, seven (7) night hands-on comprehensive shoemaking immersion, participants will live out their inner cordwainer (shoemaker). In a real factory setting, veteran cordwainer Ron Donovan and his team will methodically guide participants through each facet of the shoemaking process, concept to realization. Each participant will be assisted in designing and creating wearable pair of women's stilettos.

Participants will learn about the various component suppliers and specialty factories that support a primary shoemaking factory. There will even be a tour of either a last, sole, heel factory or leather supplier.

The backdrop for this incredible adventure will be the Marche’, one of Italy's most beautiful regions, renowned for its beautiful Adriatic coastlines and long shoemaking history. In addition to an incredible shoemaking experience, there will be organized activities that will connect you with the with the amazing energy, food, wines, culture and shopping that Italy is known for.

There will also be a bit of free time set aside for you to simply relax, or experience even more of what this beautiful region has to offer.
